I was hired to remodel this Highland Park home converting it to a mid century modern. It was built in the late 40's
We removed a 1970’s addition and added a beautiful master suite as well as a large family room with bar and wine room. This home has large expanses of glass overlooking the swimming pool from the family room as well as the balcony built off of the master suite with beautiful hand built linear handrails. The floating staircase in the music room with stainless steel handrail is spectacular. The woodwork was wenge, cherry and rift white oak. One of my favorite features was the negative bookshelf. It looks as if it was carved out of a block of white oak.
